posted 06/12/2009 Welcome to St. Lawrence Fall Sports for the 2009-10 School year.
Some reminders about the Fall Season:
- A valid physical is due by August 1, 2009. Please place in the Athletic Mailbox in the Parish office. Must be dated AFTER April 15, 2009. Your son/daughter will NOT be able to participate in the practices (starting August 10) without a physical on-file.
- For those outside parish members, a CYO A-form will be sent to your email shortly. This form must be signed by your Pastor (or Delegate) AND your CRE Director (or Principal if attending a Catholic School). This takes place of the CRE letter required in the past. Your son/daughter will not be able to participate in the practices (starting August 10) without this required paperwork. Please place in the Athletic mailbox in the Parish Office by August 1.
- For the St. Lawrence members, your parish membership will be confirmed for you and no paperwork is necessary. Your CRE or School enrollment will be confirmed by August 1, so please make sure your registration is completed by then.
Requirements (commitments) for playing at St. Lawrence in the Fall Season:
- ALL families, regardless of which Fall sport you play and what parish your belong to, MUST work two 4-hour shifts at the St. Lawrence Applefest on September 11-13. Signups for shifts are done in person the middle of August. You will receive a separate email regarding signing up and the procedure in getting credit when you work that weekend. This email will be coming in July.
AND
- ALL families, regardless of which Fall sport you play and what parish your belong to, MUST work two 4-hour shifts at HOME games. Once teams are established in August, a team parent will be assigned and will track your shifts worked. They will coordinate which HOME games your team is hosting. More information on those shifts will be coming in August.
Failure to meet these requirements means you will be sent a bill for $150. If it is not paid, you will not be able to register for further sports until the bill is paid. These requirements are in place to make the season run smoothly. Please volunteer your time this season.
NOTE: If you have not turned your uniform(s) in from last school year, your son/daughter will not be issued a new uniform this season until it is turned in.
